Squiggle Stories

How Marco Polo came to be

Once upon a day there was two boys. One was called Marco and the other one was called Polo. Now Polo liked Marco but Marco hated Polo. So one day when Marco and Polo were playing guns (Marco loaded his but Polo's gun wasn't loaded) Marco shot Polo accidentally. You would think that Marco would be happy that he turned Polo into a Deadly, Man eating, Zombie, Human with his eyes closed. But Marco liked Polo when he was not a Deadly, Man eating, Zombie, Human with his eyes still closed. So Marco said "I liked you better when you were not a Deadly, Man eating, Zombie, Human with your eyes closed. And that meant a lot to Polo, so Polo (Remember he is still a Deadly, Man eating, Zombie, Human with his eyes closed) limped over to Marco and Marco hugged him. Then Polo transformed back into normal Polo not Deadly, Man eating, Zombie, Human with his eyes closed Polo ( But now his eyes were open) So from now on Marco Polo is an real game on earth.
THE END!

P.S This tale is not true ( Well I don't think it is)

Seeps

This is a Seep. You may think it is a sheep but it is not a sheep it is a seep. You see a sheep's lambs are called lambs but seep's lambs are called amps and a sheep has a short tail but seep tails are long to sleep upside down in a tree. As you can tell seeps are one of the weirdest animals known to alien kind, wait they are alien sheep! So sorry I forget I told you about them. NOW FORGETTING PROCESS STARTING NOW BEEP BEEP BLOOP BLOOP PEEP POW good bye.

I am Awesome!!

Why am I Awesome

Hi, I am the one the only Olivia M ( There is some other people called Olivia M but they are not the same as me) I am unique like everyone else but I am also good at telling stories and  making people laugh at the right time.

First of all I am unique . Have you seen anyone quite like me... NO because I'm me and there is no one quite like me.(No one is the same we are all totally different so face it like everyone else) and don't say you have ever seen any one exactly like me because I know that it was not me at all.

Secondly I am great at telling stories about things I did. If you want to see some go to squiggle stories. Every day I will have a story to tell Miss Cooper unless I forget it which happens once or twice a week. If I have no stories to tell I will make one up like this:

There once was a boy named Harry who lived in a jam pie and he ate the jam for breakfast. If the jam ran out more would appear in the pie. See they are so fun to write because they can be anything you want so I love it so tell stories a lot so I get very good at it.

Next I will tell you about how I make people laugh at the right time. That means I will make them laugh at lunch and morning tea not in class time when everyone is working. Last year I was called the clown ( In a good way) by my friend Gemma. I once told a joke to the whole class " What is the difference between a train and a teacher. A teacher says spit out that chewing gum and a train says chew chew and they all laughed.

These are only some of the things that me awesome. One more thing that makes me awesome is that I am modest. It means that you don't like to brag so it means it was hard to write this explanation because you have to say why you are awesome.

Squiggle Story

Space war

We don't know it yet but an alien invasion is coming to earth. King Zouvgen ( King Alien) and the Alien army (A.A) are coming to steal all the toys in the world and if someone gets in his way they will take them to the alien lab and turn them into a soft toy and put them with the rest of the toys he would have stolen. King Zouvgen and the A.A had already gotten half way to earth in 55 years but earth had security and lasers and they were not afraid to use them. Earth's security boss was called Pythington*. Pythington threw a bomb at Zouvgen at exploded in Zouvgen's U.F.O and killed him.
The A.A had no leader so they fought back and destroyed a planet but Pythington shot lasers at all the A.A and they caught on fire and died. So the world was saved. At least for now!

*Pythington mean do or die in alien language and Zouvgen means King

A Letter to Year Five Students of 2016

Dear Year Fives of 2016,

Well, you are in for an awesome year!  You have so many wonderful things to look forward to as a Year Five at Meadowbank School.

A great start to the year is........ E.O.T.C.  This is like a school camp and you do awesome activities and trips during the day.  Some are community based.  We baked delicious food to take to the residents at the rest home. We also hiked up Rangitoto and we did some water safety lessons at the pools.  It was EPIC!

Also in Year Five you will continue Garden to Table.  This will be your last year  of Garden to Table and you get to learn heaps of new skills in the garden and kitchen, so make sure you take advantage of this.  But have fun and enjoy the delicious food you will get to eat.

At the end of the year, you will get to do Bike Safety at school.  Learning some practical things to help keep you safe when you're out and about riding your bikes.

Being a Year Five means heaps of cool things, but it also means lots more responsibilities and there is greater expectations on you both in class and on the playground.

We have been expected to manage ourselves and our workloads in the classroom this year which has taken a bit of getting used to but I know it will mean we are well prepared going into Year Six!

We were also given opportunities to show our responsibility for our peers in Bridging the Gap and Buddy Classes.

Bridging the Gap is when you go over to the Junior School to do special roles, for example being a duty kid at lunchtimes, going into classrooms when its raining and keeping an eye on the junior kids.

For Buddy Class in Year Five we had a Year 2 Class, which has meant we have had a younger year group to look after and support them at school and in their learning.  I have loved being involved with such a lovely group of kids and being able to help them out.

My advice to you is this.....

Year Five is an amazing year.  Enjoy it, get everything you can out of it.  Work hard but have fun!
