Flintstone Car!

The Flintstone Car!

On Wednesday we had youth town for EOTC week.
First we got sorted in to our groups I was with my best friend-------------------------> Gemma! we were in group D.Our first activity was the flintstone car.It was my favourite activity.

The first thing that the man did  was show us some knots that we would use to make the car. Then he let us try them out on a piece of bamboo.Next he showed us a knot that would hold the car together.

Then we started building our flintstone car.We slid a piece of bamboo through each one of the barrels.Next we put two  pieces of bamboo across the pieces bamboo that were in the barrels. We made the seat and tied it all down and we were done!

Then we got to ride the flintstone car me ,Eve and Jacob got to ride it first. We got a second turn but that was not so fun for me because I got run over! I went to sick bay to get a plaster. When I got back they had taken the car apart. I was sad because it was so fun!

See you soon!

Snake Massages!

Hi guys I just read this article about snakes giving massages to people of the world.

Ada Barak, who offers this treatment at her Salon in the city of Talmei Elazer in Northern Israel, uses a combination of Florida and California King snakes, Corn snakes and Milk snakes for her massages. All three snakes are non-poisonous, feed largely on dead mice and make great pets.

Ada says she got the idea when people holding these snakes said it felt therapeutic to have them creeping over their hands. Over the years, she has figured out what snakes work best for different kinds of aches. The heavier King and Corn snakes are best for kneading away those deep muscle aches, whilst the little ones flutter away on those delicate face muscles, sometimes even taking a small bite at the eyelashes - at least that's what happened to a reporter from Time magazine, who recently tried the massage.

You can check it right here and right now with a click of this link!

My Special Thing

My Special Thing

My very, very special thing is my ballet doll.  It is a doll that plays music when you wind her up.  Her head moves to the music.  She is special to me because my GeeGee (Great Grandmother) gave her to me when I was born. She plays Blue Danube.

All about me using my A-Z!

My name is Olivia, I like art and I have a bubbly personality.  I am very creative and I love to dance which uses up lots of my energy.  I am funny and I love to make others giggle.  I do hip hop, which is incredible and jazz.  I am kindhearted and my favourite part of school is lunch!  my friends say I am magnificent.I am noisy, optimistic and protective of my little sisters.  My mum says I am quirky, and I love to read Harry Potter.  Snakes are my favourite reptiles and I love to jump on our trampoline.  I am unique and vibrant, and when I grow up I want to study whales.  I have had an x-ray of my teeth.  I like the colour yellow and my favourite place is the zoo.
